Getting there
Welcome to the town of pluma hidalgo
Pluma Hidalgo is a small town located in the northeast of Chacalapa, Oaxaca, at the foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains, just 30 km from the Oaxacan coast. The elevated altitude makes for a mild climate, a perfect balance of tropical warmth and mountain breeze.
From the hillside on a cloudless day you can see the Pacific Ocean.
It is known for its coffee & chocolate production. There are a few shops in town where you can purchase them. There is a handful of adorable cafes such as La Flor Del Cafe and Comedor Raquel. The town square is a lovely place to pass time and connect with the local community.
There will be a shuttle service from Mazunte for 250 MXN Pesos.

You can also take buses to Pluma Hidalgo from San Jose del Pacifico, Huatulco, Pochutla, and Oaxaca City. More info on that coming soon.
